Sometimes Life is an Easy Fix

Sometimes we find ourselves in a place where we are sick and tired and things just aren't working right. It's easy to lament, worry, and be so focused on what is wrong that we lose sight of what is right.

Today I was listening to Joyce Meyer, a Christian speaker, who was sharing that most of our problems can be fixed easily by just doing the right thing. She said that she'll ask people how they are and many say they are not sleeping well and she answered with, "Get some sleep!" She went on to say that many of the ailments and exhaustion people have is actually from not getting enough sleep or drinking enough water in which her reply was, "Easy fix!". How simple is it that we have, within our complete control, the ability to fix most of our issues with something so simple as getting more sleep and drinking more water!

How many of your problems could be easily fixed by just doing the right thing? Not feeling strong? Get some exercise, you'll be investing the time it takes to exercise into a longer and healthier future you. Not at the weight you'd like to be at? Plan your meals with more fresh fruits and vegetables. Feeling anxiety and drama because of certain people you tend to hang out with? Find some new people that support and empower you, you'll be investing in a happier future.

Did you know that you can't be scared, angry, or worried when you are GRATEFUL? It's true, try it! Take a few minutes to write down the things that you are grateful for and focus on them, you'll find that the more you do this the better you'll get at it. Once you've gotten into the habit of looking for the good, you'll find that there is much less room for the things that weigh you down and you'll be happier, healthier, and you'll have more energy. And then you'll experience an extraordinary life, and that's what we all desire, isn't it?
